Looking through wedding magazines it seems that "Vintage" is still a very big trend, especially as a theme in weddings. Many brides are wanting that vintage style in their jewellery and hair accessories, so I thought that I would try and make up some designs with that vintage look and feel. Once a month we have a local Antique Fair and I decided to give it a visit to try and get some inspiration. It was a treasure trove of delights and I bought some really beautiful pieces - two brooches and two necklaces. One of them I have turned into a tiara and the other two are going to be headbands with a side detail. The diamante in them is really gorgeous and will look very twinkly when they catch the light. I just hope that there will be some brides out there that will like them as much as I do! I think I will take them along to the Stirling Wedding Show to get some feed-back.

I have been thinking that this is a nice way to bring in the "something old" to the wedding and a bit of family nostalgia. Maybe Granny or a Great Aunt has left you a brooch or necklace and you would like to use that in some way on your wedding day. Why not have it transformed into something else that you could wear - a headband or a tiara?
